Dr. Robert L. Burns
Dr. Robert Burns received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in June 1976 after undergraduate work at Georgia Tech. He began his optometry practice in Conyers, Georgia - February 1980. He has been a member of the American Optometric Association for over thirty years as well as a member of the AOA's Contact Lens and Sports Vision sections. He has been an active member of the Georgia Optometric Association serving as a trustee, PAC chairman, and in each office of the executive committee culminating as the association's president for 2002-2003. Dr. Burns has served as a consultant to the Georgia Tech Athletic Association and as state representative to Vision Service Plan. His civic involvement has included membership in the Rockdale chapter of the American Heart Association, member of Conyers Rotary Club and founding member of the Rockdale County Public School Foundation.
Dr. Paige Bush Foster
Dr. Paige Foster received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1992 from Auburn University. In 1993, she began Optometry school at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where she obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997. Dr. Foster then completed a one-year residency in ocular disease at Omni Eye Services of Atlanta. In 1998, she joined East Metro Eyecare, P.C. where she became a full partner in 2001. Dr. Foster is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Georgia Optometric Association, and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association. In 2001, she received the award for the Georgia Optometric Association's "Young Optometrist of the Year" and in 2010 received the association's award for "Optometrist of the Year". Dr. Foster has served as the Chairman of the Continuing Education Committee for the Georgia Optometric Association from 2000 to present. She has also been a member of the Education Committee for SECO International, LLC since 2005. Additionally, Dr. Foster served on the Board for Project ReNeWal Domestic Violence Intervention Program from 2000-2003. She is also a participant in the Rockdale County Apprenticeship/Internship Program through the Rockdale Career Academy.
